The Opportunity
We are seeking an organized and proactive Facilities and Operations Associate to support the daily operations of our biotech lab in San Francisco. This role will ensure smooth facility and lab operations by managing supplies, coordinating vendor services, and providing general support to laboratory staff. - Shipping and Receiving:
- Manage the shipping and receiving of packages, including laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure proper storage and distribution of received items.
- Lab Support:
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of lab spaces.
- Support lab staff with routine tasks, such as waste disposal and replenishing commonly used materials.
- Coordinate with vendors for routine equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Lab Supply Management:
- Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Order consumables and reagents as needed to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
- Track and report on usage trends to help optimize inventory management.
- Facilities Support:
- Perform basic facility maintenance tasks, such as organizing common areas and restocking supplies.
- Serve as a point of contact for vendors providing facility services, including janitorial and waste management.
- Report and follow up on facility-related issues to ensure prompt resolution.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Coordinate with vendors for operations-related services, such as supply deliveries and maintenance requests.
- Ensure proper documentation and scheduling of vendor visits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure vendor services align with operational needs.
- General Operational Support:
- Assist with organizing and tracking service agreements and maintenance schedules.
- Support efforts to maintain compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment is a plus.
- Strong interest in biotech, science, and facilities operations is desirable.
Compensation at Rezo
The expected starting salary range for this position based in San Francisco, California is $60,000 - $90,000. Actual starting salary will be determined based on multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education, and experience, the level at which they are hired, market demand, business needs, and internal parity. This role is eligible for participation in our Annual Discretionary Bonus Plan (based on individual and company performance) and our Equity Incentive Plan, subject to the terms of those plans and associated policies. This position is also eligible for the benefits detailed below.
