The Opportunity

As part of Rezo’s Biology Team, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary group combining genetics, proteomics, structural biology, and AI to tackle challenging biological questions and develop transformative cancer therapies. Joining Rezo at this early stage provides a unique opportunity to contribute to our groundbreaking platform and drive therapeutic discovery.

We are seeking a Scientist II with strong experience in immunology and with expertise in flow cytometry to design and execute innovative assays for mapping protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks in the settings of cancer or inflammation diseases and interpretation of biomarker assays.

• As key in vitro lead on projects, independently design and propose in vitro assays for target validation, compound profiling and hit validations.
• Develop, optimize, and perform immune phenotyping and functional assays, including multicolor flow cytometry (10 colors), ICS, ELISpot, proliferation assays, and cytokine ELISA/MSD.
• Manage and analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare necessary materials for internal and external meetings, regulatory filings, and publications.
• Communicate and collaborate across diverse interdisciplinary research teams.
• Manage multiple projects effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Education and Experience:
• PhD in cancer biology, tumor immunology or immunology with relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
• Non-PhD candidates with substantial and demonstrated expertise in flow cytometry-based assays and cancer research are encouraged to apply.
• Expertise and Skills:
• Hands-on experience with flow-cytometry and phenotyping immune cells.
• Expertise in Immunology / Autoimmune diseases is a plus.
• Experience with establishing and validating in vitro assays for lymphocyte functions and modulations (B and T cells) is highly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation at Rezo

The expected starting salary range for this position based in San Francisco, California is $115,000-$165,000. Actual starting salary will be determined based on multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education, and experience, the level at which they are hired, market demand, business needs, and internal parity. This role is eligible for participation in our Annual Discretionary Bonus Plan (based on individual and company performance) and our Equity Incentive Plan, subject to the terms of those plans and associated policies. This position is also eligible for the benefits detailed below.
