Job Summary
The Patient Liaison is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience and accurate workflow for the front desk.

Essential Functions of a Patient Liaison
- Greet and register patients in a fast-paced radiology facility.
- Welcome Patients and provide contact information for lab if needed
- Tag the patient as “arrived” and put their information on the clipboard
- Notify technologist if patient arrives late
- If a registrar is available, seat the patient with them.
- If everyone is busy, have the patient seat in the waiting room
- If the registrar is on the phone, you can still seat a patient at their desk and inform the patient they will be with them shortly.
- Keep track of registrar breaks
- Greeter is to go to the waiting room and call patients then escort them to the registrar’s desk.
- Always keep the record on the sign in sheet up to date
- Make management aware of any issues with patient interactions, getting patients seen on time or workflow
- Assist with medical record request
- Answer phones, find out why patients are calling, place on hold and put in queue
- Assist with patients arriving to obtain test prep
Education and Experience
- High School degree or equivalent.
