What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrave Assistant position at RF LOGISTICS?
Summary:
Provides administrative services for 950 Active and Reserve Personnel. Performs the functions of Command Leave Administrator, Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA). Develop monthly Prospective Gain Report and the Prospective Loss Report. Must hold and maintain a current Secret Clearance.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for drafting and sending out Welcome Aboard letters to newly arriving personnel.
- Processes administrative paperwork to include designation letters, Plan of the Week, instructions, directives, various special requests, evaluations, and awards.
- Assists the program as the Command Leave Administrator.
- Able to perform and assists when required in the functions of a Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA).
- Responsible for the Administrative Readiness for all PHIBCB TWO Sailors. This includes Passports, Government Travel Cards, and Family Care Plans.
- Responsible the upkeep of the command Recall Bill.
- Responsible for the review, submission, tracking, and completion of any pay and entitlements transactions submitted to PSD via Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS).
- Responsible for the review, submission, tracking, and completion of any Electronic Service Record (ESR) updates submitted to PSD via Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS).
- Has a basic knowledge of how to access, navigate, and read the Master Military Pay Account (MMPA) data. Reviews, quarterly, the pay accounts of all assigned members for accuracy.
- Review message traffic for PCS orders, screenings, and other pay and personnel messages (Navami’s, MP As, Pips).
- Review and update PERSTEMPO reports to ensure assigned personnel’s time away from homeport is accounted for correctly.
- Review the TAD tracker and submits applicable start/stop transactions to affect the appropriate pay/entitlement changes (i.e. sea pay, meal collections, family separation allowance, hostile fire pay, etc.) of members on TAD/TDY status.
- Generate and review the Unit Commander Financial Report (UCFR) to identify potential pay and leave discrepancies.
- Generate and review the Expiration of Active Obligated Service (EAOS) Report to identify members who will be extending/reenlisting or separating/retiring. Then initiates the necessary processing.
- Submit all Reenlistment and Extension requests to PSD and tracks until reenlistment/ extension contracts are signed, released, and posted.
- Assist members in the review and validation of their NAVPERS 1070/602s (Page-2s) and SGLI – upon reporting, when changes occur, annually, and upon detachment. Monitors the annual completion until command reaches 100%.
- Generate and review Prospective Gain Report monthly and updates the Admin tracker.
- Initiate, submit, and track PCS Gains transactions for newly-reporting personnel ensuring pay and personnel accounts are accurately updated.
- Submit and tracks the status of Travel Claims submitted via TOPS.
- Generate and review Prospective Loss reports monthly and updates the Admin tracker.
- Initiate, submit, and track PCS Transfers for detaching personnel ensuring screening requirements, obligated service requirements, travel requirements, and any pay advances are processed and have posted.
- Initiate, submit, and track Separations and Retirements for separating personnel ensuring health screening requirements, travel requirements, DD-214 inputs, and any pay advances are processed and have posted.
- Attend CPPA training at PSD or online.
- Assist in the review and submission of Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP) recertification as per latest NAVADMIN.
- Review Good Conduct Report and prepare Good Conduct Awards for presentation.
- Validate Daily Muster Reports to ensure personnel accountability.
- Assist in the review of Time-In-Rate (TIR) Eligibility Listing for the ordering of Navy Wide Advancement Exams.
- Assist in the preparation and signing of advancement exam worksheets for eligible candidates.
Hourly Range: $26.00 to $30.00 (Pay Health and Welfare compensation)
