Overview:
RF Logistics LLC is looking to hire 5 employees with at a minimum of 6 years experience in Food Service Operations with the Navy or MSC. To provide support as a Food Service Training Support Analyst to support, train, audit, and inspect Food service Operations aboard MSC Vessels as part of the staff supporting the Continuous Monitoring Program. MSC is the owner and operator of more than 110 Government Owned Government Operated (GOGO) ships (60) and Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) ships (50) manned by Civilian Mariners (CIVMARs) and other merchant mariners/Contracted Mariners (CONMARs) and is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of those ships throughout their active service period. MSC ship inventory increases/decreases with ship activations and deactivations; work should remain consistent with the overall 110 ship inventory throughout the Period of Performance (PoP) of this contract. Each shipboard supply department plays an important role in the overall MSC ship operations and provides key services to fully execute a supply department onboard. Some examples of these services are FS and Logistics operations, Supply Configuration Management (SCM), Combat Logistics Force (CLF) functions, FS and Hotel/Laundry operations, and CMP overseeing all supply functions. To a great degree, MSC’s ability to successfully execute its world-wide mission is dependent on effective and timely training of MSC personnel, ashore and afloat, and execution of CMP and FS programs, ship assessments, inspections, and training.
Responsibilities:
The contractor will support multiple FS events occurring simultaneously, and possibly in different locations at the same time. Upon completion of SMART inspections, the FS TSAs will provide an After-Action Report (AAR)/written reports. FS TSA must coordinate with FS SME to receive the individual ship equipment validation list prior to traveling to the designated ship for the inspection. The Contractor is responsible for buying, maintaining, and inventorying all SMART Testing kits [five (5) kits] that are required to be carried and used during each SMART inspection.
Qualifications:
- Minimum six (6) years afloat operational FS experience as a Leading Culinary Specialist E7 or above, USN or USCG personnel, and/or Chief Steward/Steward Cook (same time requirement or combination).
- Experience as FS manager and utilizing an automated Food Service
- Management (FSM) program onboard ship.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in use of automated information systems/programs associated with FS operations [e.g., FSM, Microsoft (MS) Word and Excel, etc.].
- Knowledge of the current Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) programs for CONUS and overseas ordering procedures.
- Knowledge of current ordering procedures for Non-SPV items and approved Sources of Supply (SOS) in overseas locations.
- Ability to analyze FS monthly financial reports and provide status through written metrics and reports.
- SERVSAFE manager and instructor qualified through the National Restaurant Association (NRA) PRIOR to employment on the contract and maintain through performance period.
- Ability to attend and pass the MSC FSM ShipCLIP course within six (6) months of employment.
- Must have an active confidential security clearance.
