Skyworks Cedar Rapids Layout team is seeking a Principal Layout Designer responsible for the layout of RF/Analog silicon IC’s in accordance with our defined best practices and most up to date design rules. Our team in Cedar Rapids has access to Skyworks leading R&D, process, and product development capabilities. Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with design engineers in the layout and verification of wireless consumer electronic products using CMOS technologies, the Cadence Design environment, and Calibre verification tools
• Position requires remote interfacing with domestic and international design engineering and layout teams across multiple design centers in different time zones
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the layout of integrated circuits including the ability to place and route active and passive devices.
• Ability to plan the placement of major circuit components in an overall physical design.
• Good understanding of semiconductor processes and structures, like CMOS FETs, capacitors, resistors etc.
• Provide good experience and competency using Cadence Virtuoso and SkillCAD tools
• Proven ability to interpret DRC, ERC, LVS, ANTENNA using the Calibre verification tool and to read electrical schematics and netlists.
• Top level integration experience is also preferred.
• Previous experience in the preparation of layout data for release to foundry a plus
  
  

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $89,100 - $172,100 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
