We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Social Media who can provide direction, coordination, and quality output for the marketing team. This person needs to be energetic and willing to put in the time it takes to continue building RFT’s marketing department into a leader in our industry. This position drives all aspects of marketing and is a crucial part of the strategy for gaining VOC and working with focus groups on new innovative concepts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct the development of and manage RF Technologies brand strategy.
- Establish marketing programs to increase company revenue and market share.
- Create, manage, and grow the company’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other strategically relevant online properties.
- Develop and manage media plans, including print advertising.
- Manage public relations efforts, including media training.
- Build and manage relationships with outside agencies and other vendors.
- Manage and support trade show scheduling and logistics.
- Conduct customer needs research, utilizing surveys, focus groups, and other appropriate methods.
- Establish and manage user and product advisory groups.
- Gather and analyze data related to products, markets, and competitors.
- Stay abreast of current standards, associations and political activities that could impact RF Technologies’ business or customers.
- Provide content for customer success stories, vertical market case studies and white papers.
- Manage sales collateral portfolio and drive creation and improvements as needed.
- Other projects as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Marketing concentration & advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of strategic marketing experience.
- Proven track record of social media skills.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
- Outstanding project management skills are required with a proven track record of on time, on budget completions.
- Experience and skills in providing direction for art, copywriting, video production and PR.
- Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional conceptual skills are needed. Must demonstrate ability to think outside the box.
- Must be capable of using MS Office Suite products, in particular MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Expert with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, and/or other Creative Suite products is necessary.
- Must have proven experience managing multiple projects with a near fanatical attention to detail.
- Comfort and competence working in a hands-on capacity.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and trade shows.
- Experience marketing products to the healthcare industry, including product launches.
- Experience assembling and managing focus and advisory groups to brainstorm, evaluate, and refine new product concepts.
