RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Description
Design new and enhance existing test systems for robust electronics intended for on/off road vehicles and harsh environments. Perform requirements capture, analysis, design, programming, debugging, hardware integration and verification. Act as Lead Engineer for Wheeled Full Tree Forestry Electromagnetic Compatibility and Compliance. Develop and define test procedures for test plans regarding electrical and electronic components (EMC & Electrical baseline). Perform EMC testing and deliver compliance report with testing results. Revise and deliver standards documentation (EG JDQ200 family). Design and deliver Process Assembly Reviews (DPAR). Develop and deliver solutions to deviations and Supplier Change Requests (SCR). Create and review innovative HW/SW testing architectures and designs including breaking original requirements down into the proper high level and mid-range architecture and creating detailed design notes from the results. Perform detailed unit, integration, and systems verification and validation testing using HW/SW tools. Troubleshoot issues while providing detailed performance reports to team members. Review testing and suggest additional test cases. Support factory operations and assembly line regarding HW/SW warehouse holds. Work closely with project team members as needed to ensure the final combined product has compatible software, electronic hardware, and mechanical hardware which functions properly together and performs at levels specified in the test requirement. Position requires domestic travel up to 5% of the time to visit machines at other client locations and testing sites.
Requirements
- The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or closely related field.
- The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years and 6 months (30 months) of experience with all the following: (a) Designing new and enhancing existing test systems for robust electronics intended for on/off road vehicles and harsh environments; (b) Performing requirements capture, analysis, design, programming, debugging, hardware integration and verification; (c) Soliciting and capturing requirements directly from customers; (d) Creating and reviewing innovative HW/SW testing architectures and designs for challenging problems; (e) Breaking original requirements down into the proper high level and mid-range architecture and then creating detailed design notes from the results; (f) Performing detailed unit, integration, and systems verification and validation testing using HW/SW tools; (g) Reviewing other testing and suggesting additional test cases; and (h) Working closely with other project team members as needed to ensure the final combined product has compatible software, electronic hardware, and mechanical hardware which functions properly together and performs at levels specified in the test requirement. All experience may be gained concurrently.
