RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the concept and development of structural, electrical, and hydraulic components. Key responsibilities include creating CAD models and design documentation, and collaborating with suppliers, manufacturing, and validation teams to optimize designs.
Responsibilities
- Focus on new product development of equipment and machinery
- Review continuous improvement cycles of production vehicles and warranty improvement based on customer and factory feedback
- Coordinate with other management groups to develop strategies and timelines
- Use CAD Software to assist in the 3-D Modeling of components, sheet metal and possibly hydraulic routings, including component analysis
- Provide guidance as a technical resource to support design and other departmental needs
- Compile and furnish necessary information (engineering decisions, models, drawings, and reports) to drive product to production status
- Develop business relationships with customers, dealers, and suppliers which may include travel domestic and international
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, Industrial Engineering or related Engineering Discipline
- Minimum 8 years' experience with product design or continuous improvement
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies
- Experience with new product development process
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
Desired Attributes
- Experience in 3-D Modeling Software - SolidWorks Preferred
- Prior usage of PDM or CAD vault system
- Experience managing teams or multiple projects
- Prior experience designing equipment or machines

Pay Range: $90,000-$120,000 – Commensurate with experience
