RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate fully onsite at our customer's manufacturing facility in Savage, MN working on RV's.

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Utilize skills in manufacturing layout, design engineering, staff planning, cost analysis & prototyping. Experience working with cross functional teams utilizing organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) expertise and experience.
- Identify cost reduction & process improvement ideas.
- Work with supply chain & procurement.
- Conduct manufacturability and assembly reviews, identifying potential production challenges early in the design phase.
- Lead and manage the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Lead manufacturing prototyping efforts, collaborating with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and in-house teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement advanced manufacturing solutions.
- Design and oversee the implementation of complex manufacturing fixtures, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct comprehensive time studies, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions, SOPs, and training materials.
- Lead and drive product quality improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to production teams.
- Evaluate and select advanced manufacturing equipment and technologies.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimize the supply chain.
- Ensure accurate documentation and records of manufacturing processes.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, processes, and technologies.
- Significant knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and advanced manufacturing software tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and documentation.
- In-depth understanding of quality management principles and methodologies.
- Proven experience in leading and managing complex manufacturing projects and initiatives.
- Staffing Estimation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field required
- 15 year experience with a focus on new product development
- 100% On-site support
- DFMA methodologies expertise
- Must be a self-starter, have good communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team
Annual salary range is $95K-$165K consummate on experience & qualifications
