RFI Ingredients is seeking a full-time Food Scientist (Regulatory) for our Regulatory Department in Broomfield, CO. RFI Ingredients is an industry leading contract manufacturer of food and supplements.
Description:
- As a food scientist, who works hand in hand with formulator to develop new product from idea to new product launch such as ingredients evaluation and qualification, establishing product data sheet, establishing food safety plan, certification applications and technical support.
- Managing facility and product certifications- Organic, Vegan, Halal, Gluten free certification programs, NGP etc. as assigned.
- Managing SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) program
- Managing Specification and coordinating specs with different team members.
- Technical support to internal and external customers including but not limited to Customer questionnaire and inquiries.
- Evaluate Change control request by documentation review for material shortage, and substitution suitability.
- Nutritional and supplements facts design using Genesis software.
- Label review of FDA compliance for new products and reformulate products.
- Contributing food science knowledge to help with product design and new product scale up.
- And any other projects assigned by Regulatory Director and VP of Quality and R&D.
Requirements:
- Min BA/BS in Food Science, Food Regulation, Food safety or related fields with 1-3 years’ experience in food or dietary supplement industrials or master’s degree with 0-2 years’ experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work in the fast-paced environment and multitasking.
- Team player an also able to work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.
- Ability to learn using Genesis for Nutritional and Supplement facts creation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time and task management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
