Who we are
The RFK Community Alliance is a 12-bed hardware secure facility co-located program in the Northeast Region that offers assessment and treatment services to adolescent males. RFK Community Alliance’s juvenile justice programming includes a residential network for youth ages 13 to 21 who have been committed of a crime by the court and given a treatment time assignment. The program is designed to help youth identify behavioral concerns that have led to them making poor choices that have affected their family and community. Youth are expected to work with staff towards identifying skills to help change their way of thinking that led to these behaviors.  While at the program youth learn accountability by participating in daily school, individual and group counseling, and structured activities designed to promote responsibility and self-reliance. The youth engage in recreational activities that enable them to have fun while learning healthy ways of interacting with others. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that a range of activities are planned and delivered daily, including physical activities
  • Assure that all quality-of-life standards are maintained including: dietary, hygiene, clothing, building cleanliness, maintenance
  • Assist in quality assurance in documentation of student logs, supervisor logs, time out logs, unannounced visits and camera reviews
  • Oversee quality assurance regarding medication distribution and documentation in the logbook and narcotic book
  • Implement Trauma Informed Care treatment philosophies
  • Assist in the management of program budget by maintaining student census
  • Promote and align the agency’s strategic plan into daily programming
  • Complete daily walk-throughs to check programmatic safety along with maintaining appropriate living standards
  • Perform verbal and physical de-escalation as needed to ensure safety of employees and students in accordance with agency policies, procedures and DYS defensive and disengagement techniques. 
  • Work closely with the supervisor regarding weekly work schedules and ensure proper staffing ratios are met
  • Assist in the facilitation of program meetings including: staff meeting, supervisor meeting, team meetings and clinical meetings
  • Supervise and educate employees with coaching and feedback regarding job performance and professional development and agency policies and procedures.
 
Requirements:
A minimum of two-year residential experience and one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Valid driver’s license is required.

$2,500 Sign-On Incentive
This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
