We are excited to announce an opportunity for a part-time Licensed Clinician specializing in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) to join our innovative and compassionate team. If you are passionate about integrating equines into therapy and transforming lives through the power of the human-animal bond, we want to hear from you!

Who We Are:

Building on the success of our therapeutic horsemanship program, we are expanding our services to include Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) and Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) for children, adolescents, and adults. Situated on 30 scenic acres, our center features open pastures, hayfields, a historic barn, and a modern indoor riding arena. Together with our horses and small farm animals, we provide a safe and natural setting for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who can blend traditional therapeutic models with equine-assisted and animal-assisted interventions. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule, including one weekend day, in a supportive and innovative environment.

NOTE: Full-time equivalent salary: $65,000 - $71,000 per year. For part-time (20 hours per week), the salary is approximately $33,000 - $36,000 per year.

Who You Are:

• Creative and compassionate clinician who thrives in non-traditional settings.

• Passionate about the human-animal connection and experienced incorporating equines/animals in a clinical practice to foster therapeutic progress.

• Skilled in traditional evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities.

• Experienced equestrian with intermediate to advanced horsemanship skills.

• Ready to contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team dedicated to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using EFP and AAT to achieve client goals.

• Collaborate with clients, families, and colleagues to create and implement effective treatment plans.

• Maintain confidential client records aligned with ethical and legal standards.

• Ensure the safety and welfare of animals and clients during sessions.

• Actively participate in team meetings, program development, and outreach initiatives.

What You will Bring:

• Active licensure as an LICSW or LMHC.

• Expertise in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic models.

• Experience incorporating equines and small farm animals in clinical practice.

• PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) certification or willingness to pursue it.

• Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• A deep understanding of how equines, small animals and the natural environment supports mental health and personal growth.
