Construction / Maintenance Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a flexible work environment and possess a strong understanding of general property maintenance and construction. We are a general contracting company that also manages rental apartments and buildings.

We are currently seeking 2 positions. We are currently seeking an experienced as a maintenance person with a strong background apartment complex maintenance and someone to train and assist the maintenance manager.

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance

• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.

• Conducts maintenance-related inspections, including building and alarm systems

• Completes janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule

• High school diploma or GED required

• Prefer minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience

• Prefer knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred

• Prefer HVAC certification preferred

• Requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language

• Proficiency and previous experience and general knowledge electrical, plumbing, carpentry, sheet rock, spackle, painting, ceramic tile, installation of kitchen cabinets, HVAC and flooring is a plus.

• Ability to follow direction and work independently

• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment

• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.

• Must have hand tools

• Must have a valid Driver’s License

• Must have reliable transportation

• Rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
