Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
**Coverage areas for this role may include -> Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, Montana, Iowa, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan**
- Maximize profitable revenue by managing the branch performance within their region/zone.
- Meet or exceed revenue objective at or below budgeted expense and above budgeted profits. Maximize profitability by controlling expenses, capital expenditures, pricing, margins, and operational activities.
- Overseeing regional operations, project timelines, business developments, and employee productivity while building a highly inclusive culture to ensure team members thrive.
- Works with the Leadership Team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and employees to achieve business goals.
- Develop key customer relationships to enhance and grow the regional business.
- Assure a safe working environment by fully implementing both company and customer developed safety programs.
- Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
- Protect company assets and assure their efficient use. Minimize potential liabilities from the company's business transactions.
- Design and implement regional sales plans that support product line diversification, market share, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to at branch locations. Implement and maintain the company image of quality equipment and professional staff.
- Determine employee training needs and initiate training methods to assure employees are operating at the highest levels of efficiency and are appropriately cross trained.
- Attend appropriate trade shows and association meetings to maintain an active understanding of the company’s niche markets. Be involved with trade associations where we must have professional representation.
- Significant overnight travel (up to 40%) by land and/or air.
- Performs all other duties as assigned in support of the operation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has supervisory responsibilities for exempt staff. Manages a team to high performance. Assigns work, monitors performance, mentors and develops team. The team may consist of Area/Regional Managers and Branch Managers
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is required. A minimum of six (6) years in sales and operations management experience is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- In-depth knowledge of the rental industry and actual experience with a wide variety of positions within the industry.
- Experience with industrial customers and managing sales activities at Fortune 1000 companies.
- In-depth knowledge of water handling practices, hydraulic knowledge of pumps and design, and the ability to sell more than one product line.
- In depth understanding of PC based software, and Windows application required.
