Position Summary
A strategic pricing analyst analyzes market data, competitor strategies, and internal costs to develop and implement effective pricing strategies that maximize profitability and achieve business goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough research on industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to understand the market landscape.
- Analyzes data to identify patterns, opportunities, and potential risks related to pricing.
- Develops and recommends pricing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, such as maximizing revenue, market share, or profit margins.
- Considers factors like cost structure, product value, competitive pricing, and customer demand when formulating pricing strategies.
- Uses financial models to forecast the impact of different pricing scenarios on sales, revenue, and profitability.
- Analyzes the cost of producing products and services to determine optimal pricing points.
- Works with cross-functional teams to implement pricing strategies and ensure they are effectively communicated and executed.
- Monitors the performance of pricing strategies, track key metrics, and makes adjustments as needed to optimize results.
- Communicates pricing recommendations and findings to stakeholders, including management, sales, and marketing teams.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure that pricing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis.
- Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change.
- Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements.
- Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools.
- In-depth knowledge of BI tools and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, research, statistics, math, economics, or related analytical discipline preferred.
