Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing timely and quality service and repair work of hydraulic systems, pneumatic and electromechanical power systems, and other mechanical systems.
Essential Functions
- Complete service and repair work of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, and other mechanical systems in the shop and in the field
- Proactive in selling products that would benefit the customer
- Test systems
- Support startups and field commissions as necessary
- Work with business unit manager to develop and grow service business
Requirements
- Industrial experience with hydraulic repairs and systems
- Hydraulic hose fabrication
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Welding experience (preferably certified in MIG and/or TIG welding)
- Experience in tube fabrication, bending, and end conditioning
- Experience with metal fabrication
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics
- Good math and reading skills
- Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Demonstrated adherence to safe work habits and practices, including the use of PPE and safety devices
Environment
This role requires working in various environments, including customer facilities, job sites, and field service.
The employee will spend most of their time on foot, lifting, bending, standing, and carrying items.
Steel toe shoes, flame retardant clothing, and eye protection are required.
The position also requires flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends, as well as extensive travel.
Education
A high school diploma or GED is required.
