Position Summary:
Responsible for timely and quality service and repair work of hydraulic systems, pneumatic and electromechanical power systems and other mechanical systems.
Essential Functions:
· Complete service and repair work of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical and other mechanical systems in the shop and in the field
· Proactive in selling products that would benefit the customer
· Test systems
· Support startups and field commissions as necessary
· Work with business unit manager to develop and grow service business
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Industrial experience with hydraulic repairs and systems
· Hydraulic hose fabrication
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Welding experience (preferably certified in MIG and/or TIG welding)
· Experience in tube fabrication, bending and end conditioning
· Experience with metal fabrication
· Ability to read mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics
· Good math and reading skills
· Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
· Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently
· Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
· Demonstrated adherence to safe work habits and practices, including the use of PPE and safety devices
Environment:
· Customer facilities, job sites and field service
· Requires employee to spend the majority of his or her time on foot, lifting, bending, standing and carrying items
· Steel toe shoes, flame retardant clothing and eye protection are required
· Must have flexibility in work hours including evenings and weekends
· Light travel required
Education:
· High school diploma or GED
