These are just a few of the attributes we are looking for in the Global valuation teamThe individual in this role will primarily be responsible for the implementation, process development and monitoring of the US principles based reserving (PBR) requirements on the international business within RGA ResponsibilitiesEnsure complete end to end processes and controls are in place to calculate and report liabilities on a quarterly basis under both US statutory and tax requirementsWork with the local offices to ensure documentation, maintenance, and enhancement of PBR processes, procedures and controls are in placeCoordinate the development and review of assumption and / or model change documentation and implementationCoordinate to ensure necessary documentation and validations are complete for any new PBR models builtResponsible for the preparation of the international section of the annual PBR report Coordinate any required internal projections for RGA's Principle based initiatives including financial & capital planning and analysisResponsible for ensuring all lines of business and company risks have been modeled in a reasonable, accurate, and repeatable mannerCoordinate, as needed, with other PBR teams within RGAKeep abreast of changes in regulations and impacts to our businessPerforms other duties as requiredRequirementsBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Finance, Statistics, or a related fieldFSA accreditation7 years of actuarial experience in the life insurance industryAdvanced PC and technical skills, including database applications (Access, Oracle, SQL or equivalent technology) and spreadsheetsAdvanced ability to compile, analyze, refine, and interpret large amounts of financial data and projection model resultsAdvanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex ideas in a way that is understandable by all stakeholdersAdvanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with different disciplines, including valuation, investments, finance, accounting, and information technologyAdvanced investigative, analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced knowledge of life, health, and annuity productsAdvanced knowledge of US Statutory and Tax valuation and financial reportingKnowledge of one or more actuarial modeling systemsAbility to work well both independently and within a team environmentAbility to simultaneously contribute to multiple projects and meet tight deadlinesAbility to balance detail with department goals and objectivesPreferredAbility to program in Prophet and / or Moddy's AXISAdvanced project management skills, demonstrating an ability to leverage various resources and tools to reach a common goalReinsurance industry and product knowledgeWorking knowledge of US Principle Based reservingWhat you can expect from RGA : Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world.Enjoy a respectful, welcoming environment that fosters individuality and encourages pioneering thought.Join the bright and creative minds of RGA, and experience vast, endless career potential.Compensation Range : $132,430.00 - $202,455.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
