Overview
The Operational Risk Analyst aids in the design and implementation of internal control testing procedures covering cross-functional processes and interactions with other departments across the world. The role will also work with the RGA's global Financial Solutions' Operational Risk Consultants to engage with senior managers inside and outside of the Financial Solutions business segment to recommend changes to existing procedures, handoffs, and accountabilities to generate efficiencies across the organization, streamline processes and minimize control weaknesses. Additionally, the Operational Risk Analyst will aid in the completion of the Financial Review and Company Profile reports for our Counterparty Risk program.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the design and implementation of internal control testing procedures covering cross-functional processes and interactions with other departments across the world. Function as an ambassador to the GFS division for and a champion of operational risk management.
- Works on a team that leads the application of creative approaches to solve complex problems involving multiple departments and levels in the organization; leveraging knowledge and experience in internal controls and process improvement to lead teams to a successful conclusion.
- Works with the Operational Risk Consultant to implement control testing plans. Aids in the identification of weaknesses and consults with teams to improve processes and mitigate exposure leveraging industry best practices.
- Works with the Operational Risk Consultant to complete Financial Review and Company Profile reports for our Counterparty Risk program. This will include helping to manage and monitor Counterparty risk profiles and levels within GFS.
- Aids in leading GFS team members in understanding and supporting the operational risk framework and policies. Works with the Operational Risk Consultant to actively lead GFS in implementing internal control and process improvement best practices.
- Ensure that GFS control testing and process maps comply with and align to any future standards, which may be issued by Global Risk Services or Global Audit Services. Works with the Operational Risk Consultant to help implement enterprise-wide initiatives being initiated by Global Risk Services.
- Aid in leading project teams to ensure business processes are properly mapped highlighting accountabilities, hand-offs, and controls. Actively identify and drive process improvements identified through the review.
- Identify opportunities for automation. Consult on IT projects across GFS ensuring consistent performance within active projects.
- Assist other areas of the Operational Risk & Reporting team, as necessary.

76,100.00 - $108,050.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
