Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Design:
- Discuss project goals, budget, and timelines.
- Develop design plans for home improvements, ensuring they align with client preferences and building codes.
- Provide recommendations for materials, design features, and cost-effective solutions.
- Renovation and Remodeling:
- Perform various tasks such as demolition, framing, drywall installation, flooring, plumbing, electrical work, cabinetry, and painting.
- Install or replace fixtures, countertops, and cabinetry.
- Remodel kitchens, bathrooms, basements, living rooms, and other areas of the home.
- Ensure structural integrity and safety during remodeling work.
- Coordination and Supervision:
- Oversee subcontractors, including electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, to ensure quality work.
- Ensure that work is done in compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Track and manage project timelines, keeping clients updated on progress and any potential delays.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and time for the project.
- Source and purchase materials, ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of the options.
- Keep projects within the estimated budget and handle unexpected costs efficiently.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Address any issues that arise during the remodeling process.
- Find solutions to design challenges, structural issues, or material limitations.
- Ensure that the final product meets the expectations of the homeowner.
- Clean-Up and Final Touches:
- Oversee the final clean-up of the job site.
- Perform a final walkthrough with the homeowner to ensure satisfaction and address any remaining concerns.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of construction, renovation, and home improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and design specifications.
