Job Responsibilities
As a Med Surgical Nurse, you will:
- Deliver quality, patient-centered care to individuals in a variety of settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
- Provide direct, individualized nursing care based on scientific principles and nursing best practices.
- Monitor patient health status, provide interventions, and educate patients on their care needs.
- Uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree).
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- CPR-BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification (required within the orientation period).
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (required before completion of orientation).
- Experience: No previous experience required; training and support are provided.
- Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and nursing best practices.
