RGV College exists on the principle that all individuals, regardless of race, age, previous education or economic background can take advantage of the benefits acquired through Vocational Education. Currently, we are looking to fill the position of Custodian.

General Statement of Job
The Custodian performs a wide variety of custodial duties in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities.
- Secure and unlock facilities.
- Clean and disinfect all campus facilities (restrooms, offices, classrooms, labs and hallways ); stock facilities with paper and supplies.
- Vacuum and spot clean carpets and furniture; sweep and mops floors.
- Clean marker boards, desktops, windows, doors and walls.
- Collect and remove trash in accordance with established procedures.
- Report and respond to emergency calls for custodial assistance; reports security and maintenance concerns.
- Identify stains and uses proper chemicals for removal.
- Adhere to safety and health regulations.
- Maintain inventory and submit written requests for supplies; tests and evaluates new supplies and equipment.
- Move and assemble furniture.
- Set up for special events, as directed by supervisor(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned
