Financial Services Associate – Account Transfers & Maintenance

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Financial Services Associate to support our firm’s account transfers and ongoing account maintenance. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth transitions for clients while maintaining operational efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience working with major custodians, including Schwab and Fidelity, and handling insurance applications. Experience with Goldman Sachs is helpful but not required.
The role involves direct interaction with clients, so excellent communication skills and a commitment to superior service are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and manage account transfers, including ACAT and non-ACAT processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Handle ongoing account maintenance, including beneficiary updates, address changes, and required documentation.
- Work directly with Schwab and Fidelity custodial platforms to process account-related requests efficiently.
- Assist with insurance applications, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal advisors and support teams to enhance the client experience.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and firm policies while managing client account documentation.
- Provide proactive client communication regarding the status of account transfers and maintenance requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience required: Minimum 2 years in financial services, with direct experience in account transfers and maintenance.
- Custodian knowledge: Strong familiarity with Schwab and Fidelity platforms. Experience with Goldman Sachs is a plus.
- Insurance experience: Knowledge of insurance applications and processes.
- Client service skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Attention to detail: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
- Technology proficiency: Comfortable using financial platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Team player: Ability to work collaboratively within a boutique, high-touch advisory firm.
