- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Role Summary:
Shipping and receiving instrumentation and answering phone calls.
Principal Accountabilities for Shipping Clerk: (essential job functions)
- Answers telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate associate. Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel.
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail and packages
- Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax number, website and other related information.
- Responsible for cleaning the shipping area on a weekly basis.
- Understand the check-in/check-out process for new instruments for stock, instruments being repaired and calibrated instruments.
- Check-in/check-out parts and instruments
- Utilization of various software tools (MS Office, Sugar CRM, Mozilla Thunderbird, Kanban, etc.) to create and maintain company records.
- Work closely with the production department, inventory controller and buyer for advance scheduling of freight pick-up and delivery of customers’ orders, including shipping and customs documents. Physically pack and ship freight as required.
- Customer service oriented. This position works closely with the sales team to ensure customers are happy with their products.
- File and sort paperwork, including scanning, sorting computer documents, filing and distribution of paperwork.
- Detailed note taking on account communications and order changes.
