RH is seeking a driven Software engineer, Platform engineering to advance critical platform services like production infrastructure and release pipelines. The platform engineering team at RH powers the platform that runs our ecommerce and several other critical services that support order fulfillment. This role requires strong technical expertise and cross functional collaboration to deliver improved developer experience, continuity, security and observability.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- As a Software Engineer on the Platform team, you will help build, improve and operate foundational platform services that underpin our ecommerce and other critical applications.
- Evaluate our Jenkins CI / CD pipelines and recommend improvements to the same to improve developer experience; ensure exception workflows from the pipeline for quality / security reasons drive appropriate responses from owners
- Improve developer workflows related to platform services and reduce friction; explore and implement self service options where possible for these workflows.
- Secure alignment with the platform team and engineering stakeholders on proposed improvements and execute them to generate desired outcomes.
- Operational ownership of the pipeline to ensure uptime and instrumenting and hardening observability to drive response / resolution in the event of an incident
- Work with the security engineering team to ensure the security checks in the pipeline are operating as per security standards
