Position Summary:
The Staff II Accountant is a key member of our finance team and is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial reports for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares monthly close General Ledger journal entries across all subsidiaries
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including cash, prepaids, accruals, debt, derivatives and others
- Analyze global P&L including fluctuation analyses and budget vs actual review to ensure proper expense capture
- Coordinate with other functional departments including FP&A, legal, IT, HR, marketing, etc to identify trends and cost drivers to support accounting activities and accrual estimates
- Maintaining detailed accounts payable records and ensuring timely payment of invoices
- Assist with various bank reporting requirements including wire transfer requests
- Research account discrepancies and implement corrective measures
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements and perform other month-end close activities including financial information preparation and ad hoc analysis
- Prepares audit schedules and financial records for external auditors
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years experience in accounting roles
- Experience with NetSuite, strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare software company a plus
- Proficient Excel skills, including functions such as lookups and pivot tables
- Ability to anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and maintain a positive work attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong organizational, analytical, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changes in working environment
