Description:
We have an Immediate job opening for Medical Courier in Troy, MI. In this role you will be responsible for the pickup, transport and delivering of medical specimens, and lab supplies. Candidates must have close attention to detail to ensure all tasks on their route has been completed accurately. A company vehicle will be provided for routes for deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups.
- Complete daily pick-up schedule in a timely manner.
- Picking up samples from clinics and making sure they are properly delivered back to laboratories.
- Handle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner.
- Ensuring they are properly marked according to the facility name.
- Correctly marking off pick up's and drop offs on the schedule each night.
- Correctly sorting samples into fridges or freezers.
- Completes deliveries thoroughly and efficiently by using available specimen handling and other procedures, schedules, checklist, and specific instructions.
- Contacts manager if delivery or pickup is not completed and reports any problems to a manager for timely resolution.
- Always conducts oneself in a professional manner.
- Monitors the operating condition of the assigned vehicle and adheres to the vehicle routine maintenance schedule including maintaining adequate fuel and oil levels.
- Notifies manager of items which need non-routine maintenance.
- Obeys all traffic regulations, and never allows unauthorized persons to travel in the courier vehicle.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years’ old.
- Very punctual with strong time management skills.
- Requires basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic.
- Excellent customer service preferred.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing job responsibilities.
