RHC Assistant Project Manager will be assisting with the ongoing operation of existing projects and pricing new opportunities.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the project management team and work closely with our project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be proficient in construction project management software. Core Responsibilities:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will play a key role in overseeing and managing various aspects of the construction project process. Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success. The APM will issue subcontracts, solicit and evaluate subcontractor change estimates, manage subcontractor insurance, and review daily logs for completion. They will oversee project submittals, track submissions, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. The APM is responsible for maintaining project documentation, including LEED compliance, special inspection reports, RFIs, and meeting minutes, ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
Additionally, the APM will monitor and update project budgets, track expenses, and forecast future costs, while preparing regular progress reports to document achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones. The APM will conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards and collaborate with the project team to resolve any issues or delays impacting the project timeline. The role requires proficiency with Google Workspace, MS Project, and construction project management systems like Procore.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in project management or a related field, preferably in construction.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Project, and Construction Financial and Project Management Systems (Procore).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of construction processes, documentation, and safety standards.
- A proactive, self-starter with a strong attention to detail.
- LEED or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Intermediate understanding of how to read plans and specifications
- Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills
- Experience in construction or engineering a plus
- Self-directed with excellent interpersonal skills and calm under pressure
- Organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
