Job Description
We are looking for a qualified individual with 0 to 5 years of experience to join our team as an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Geologist at our office in Moon Township, PA. This is a full-time, hourly position, with a combination of in-office work, remote work (after initial training period), and field work. Salary starts from $23 - $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Experience and/or Interest in the following General Areas:
- Environmental remedial investigation
- Environmental compliance (CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA)
- Long-term groundwater monitoring
- Wetland identification
- Wetland design
- ArcGIS / CADD experience is a plus
Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Phase I Environmental Site Investigations
- Phase II Environmental Site Investigations
- Groundwater Monitoring
- Lead and Asbestos Sampling and Inspections
- Soil Sampling and Delineations
- UST/AST Remedial Investigations / Inspections
- Assistance with Wetland Delineations
- Data Tabulation and Analysis
- Technical Report Writing
- General assistance with other tasks, as needed and assigned
Requirements for Education, Experience Level, and Training:
- BS Environmental Science or Geology degree or higher from an accredited university or institution
- 0 to 5 years of experience in consulting work specific to environmental and/or geology-related disciplines is a plus
- Professional certifications are a plus
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER is also considered a plus
General Requirements and Other Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Overnight travel required
- Personal Credit Card for project field expenses required
- Valid Driver’s License required
