Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified individual with the capabilities to fill an opening for a Survey Technician at our office in Moon Township, PA. This is a full-time, hourly position, as weather permits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA/NSPS, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.
- Carry survey equipment and perform other physical tasks including the use of sledgehammers for driving hubs, stakes, and iron rods as points of reference.
- Clear and cut line of sight for survey lines.
- Learn to set-up and operate survey equipment including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of one year of land survey experience is preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a drug screening and background check.
- Be able to travel is a 6-state area for projects that could require 2 weeks in the field.
- Be able to write in a clean and legible manner.
- Be organized, punctual, and accountable.
- Be able to work outdoors in all seasons.
- Be able to lift and carry 25 pounds of equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office software.
- Knowledge of math required for surveying.
- HAZWOPER 40-hour training is preferred.
