What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Receptionist position at Rhema Christian School?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Christian Receptionist to perform the responsibilities and duties of running the office smoothly. The candidate must be friendly and welcoming to our families, students and guests as they enter the building. The candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus and be dedicated and promote the philosophy of Christian education.

Job Responsibilities:
● Perform and/or delegate any work requested by the administrator in an effort to keep all operations of Rhema Christian School running smoothly
● Perform all work in a confidential manner.
● Perform typing, filing, copying of documents as requested by the administrator and teachers, etc.
● Operate office computers efficiently and effectively. Handle and process all mail and documents coming into the school office.
● Receive and process all deliveries (book orders, lunch orders, janitorial supplies) and communicate to faculty and staff to pick up supplies
● Accurately communicate to the administrator necessary information such as faculty, staff or parent concerns, handbook violations, after-school violations, etc
● Administer prayer, first aid, medication (as requested by parents), and parent notification in the event of an illness or injury when the school nurse is not available
● Oversee and answer the phones, answer questions, or research and find the answers to questions asked by the faculty, staff and parents, and prospective families or to direct questions to the administrator
● Manage the administrators calendar with appointments
● Manage our volunteers
● Manage the attendance from the teachers and record tardy/absences
● Represent the school in a positive, professional and Christ-like manner to potential families and make available to them all appropriate information by phone, mail or in person
● Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in office administration is a plus. Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment. Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment. A friendly and professional demeanor with a passion for working in an educational setting.
