What You Can Expect :
As a customs data entry clerk, your primary responsibilities are to review import and export documents, ensure that all customs invoices and shipment papers are present, ensure that documentation is in agreeance with customs regulation, prepare paperwork for inbound, and process inbound for freight to export the FTZ.
This is a part-time position working Monday-Friday 4:30pm-8:30pm in the office. Pay is $20/hour.
What You Bring:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate efforts and communication with Operations department.
- Data entry and preparation of inbound documents.
- Document review and assessment of accuracy, verifying invoice data elements required for inbound preparation.
- Daily follow-up on documentation discrepancy issues which requires the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers.
- Escalate any unresolved issues or risks before they materially impact the organization.
- Work closely with other departments to deliver high level of service to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Prior customer service experience – 1-2 years.
- Ability to communicate effectively and with confidence and professionalism.
- Critical thinker with a strong attention to detail in conjunction with organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to respond effectively to confidential inquiries
- Understand importance and meets deadlines of required tasks.
