What you will be doing

As the Head of Sales – USA, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving the sales strategies and revenue growth of Rhenus Air & Ocean. You will oversee sales, customer service, marketing and business development functions. Our vision is to understand our customers like no other and challenge ourselves to improve every single day to make logistics simple.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company's global sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.


Sales and Business Development:

  • Lead and manage the global sales team to drive new business and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective sales processes, tools, and metrics to track performance and achieve sales targets.


Marketing and Branding:

  • Oversee the global marketing strategy, including brand positioning, digital marketing, and market research.
  • Enhance the company's brand presence and reputation in the global logistics market.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and communication across all marketing channels.


Customer Experience:

  • Champion a customer-centric culture and ensure exceptional customer service standards.
  • Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.


Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team and board of directors.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion within the sales team.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven senior sales leadership experience in the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of global logistics markets and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Willingness to travel globally as required.
