Industrial Electrical Engineer Professional Senior
RHI Magnesita has a great career opportunity for an Industrial Electrical Engineer! The Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing the electrical and controls portion of projects to install new equipment or upgrade existing equipment. Projects may include power distribution, controls circuits, automation, and programming. This position will also be responsible for providing technical and hands-on assistance to the maintenance and production departments to maintain and improve our manufacturing equipment.
The Electrical Engineer's tasks will include :
Designing
Industrial electrical systems including circuit sizing and protection
Motor control systems
Control systems incorporating logic controllers, hard-wired circuits, process sensors, actuators and other automation and control devices
Electrical prints using AutoCAD
Control panels
Automated equipment including vision systems, measuring systems, and robotic equipment
Develop specifications and estimates based on project scopes within a project team.
Obtain bids for equipment and installation
Determine power loads and energy requirements for newly installed equipment.
Programming
PLC ladder logic and structured text
HMI graphics and scripting
Robots
Vision system configuration
PC configuration and support, including networking and industrial communications
Managing
Develop and maintain schedules for design, build, and install operations
Direct start-up activities
Develop specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents for electrical projects.
Assist in developing internal training and resources.
Assist Purchasing with bidder lists and bid reviews by providing relevant, consolidated data to support the decision-making process.
Review, check and inspect vendor designs and electrical plans to ensure adherence quality standards.
Responsible for coordinating contractor onsite work and providing clear direction regarding Site, OSHA and MSHA requirements and standards, including electrical related safety requirements as it pertains to facility infrastructure projects.
Technical Support
Provide technical support for production operations
Assist maintenance professionals with troubleshooting equipment failure
Monitor equipment downtime and operator reports and lead Root Cause Analysis initiatives to eliminate downtime or equipment variation.
Perform necessary fieldwork to gather field data, check tie-ins and provide electrical construction support.
About you
Do you have :
Degree in Electrical Engineering or in Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or certification in a similar technical area with a minimum of 3 years related job experience.
3 years of electrical project engineering and hands-on experience in an industrial environment
Hydraulics and Continuous Casting experience a plus
Ability to work safely in industrial environment, both on the factory floor and in the office.
Ability to work with all levels within the organization
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Leadership and excellent interpersonal skills to provide training to team members and other department employees a plus
Must be able to take direction and work well with others in a team environment.
