Overview
rhi is currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to join our dedicated client contract team in Darwin N.T
This role is a 3 month short-term commitment role and is available on full-time basis, commencing Feb/March 2025.
Due to the duration, location and project, this will highly favour candidates that have specific experience and exposure to Shells Prelude project.
Responsibilities
Sitting within the D.O.S.B you will report directly to the Materials & Logistics Lead and the Supply Chain Manager.
You will be responsible for undertaking the effective receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials to support the business and for liaising with other Supply Chains, user groups, third parties, client and Supply Base & Marine contractors, to ensure that all materials and equipment are received, marshalled and shipped in accordance with company procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications
Ideally, you will hold an upper-secondary (equivalent to ISCED Level 3) qualifications from a recognised institution and have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in materials / logistics within the Oil & Gas industry. You will also have:
- Varied and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principles
- Previous experience with ERP systems (i.e. ERM, Maximo, Oracle, SAP)
- Qualifications for dangerous Goods by Sea & Air
- Manual handling / Forklift licence and experience preferred
- The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and coordinate & prioritise activities accordingly
- Be commercially astute with a “solutions mindset”, sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements.
- Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What will set you apart is your demonstrated experience in materials handling / logistics (including manual use of equipment) and best practice knowledge of warehousing of O&G materials as per industry & client standards.
