Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse and to our production lines. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to perform on a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring all items are handled safely.
• Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer requests.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and maintenance.
• Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency and accessibility.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and RF scanners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
