Job Description:
As a Data Analyst at Rhino-Back Roofing, you will be at the forefront of our IT department's expansion. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop our IT functions while working closely with the owner and manager. Key Responsibilities:
- Pioneer Role: Be a part of our growing IT department, working to establish and develop IT functions and processes from the ground up.
- Location Intelligence: Use location-based analytics to address business challenges and improve decisions. Collaborate on innovative data-driven solutions and communicate geographic insights clearly.
- Data Collection: Collect and aggregate data from multiple systems, including but not limited to ADP, Excel, and others.
- AI Tools & Rapid Learning: Utilize ChatGPT and other AI tools for learning, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Promote efficient and innovative AI-powered practices across teams.
- Process Automation & Data Entry: Perform manual data entry to address immediate needs while identifying automation opportunities. Ensure data accuracy and implement solutions to streamline workflows.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support higher-level business functions.
- Excel Proficiency: Be highly proficient in Excel, including the ability to create formulas, program sheets, and work with SQL.
- Systems Operation: Function within multiple systems and tools to extract and manipulate data effectively.
- Higher-Level Business Functions: Provide support for higher-level business functions, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
- Self-Motivation: Be a self-motivated and proactive team member, capable of taking ownership of tasks and projects.
Required:
- Strong proficiency with Python for data analysis and scripting.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams, including high-energy sales groups.
- Willingness to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities, and take on tasks outside of a typical data analyst scope.
- Proven resourcefulness and strong learning aptitude, particularly with tools like ChatGPT.
- Comfort with manual data entry tasks while solutions to automate are evaluated and implemented.
Preferred/Optional:
- Experience with PowerBI/ dashboard tools preferred
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
- Knowledge of location intelligence tools or GIS (e.g.I, ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Background in or exposure to the insurance industry (tech knowledge a plus).
- Experience with hardware configuration or data collection devices.
- Understanding of sales technologies is beneficial but less critical.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for the Data Analyst I position at Rhino-Back ranges from $45,000 to $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, vacation policy, etc.
