Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee and manage heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of heavy civil construction projects
- Coordinate with project teams including superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
- Monitor project progress and adjust work as needed to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Prepare and present project reports, cost tracking, and forecasts
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor/subcontractor relationships
- Handle change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling (Primavera P6 or MS Project), and cost control
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient with project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office)
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- PMP certification a plus
