As a Material Kitter, you will unload finished products and determine their storage placement within our freezer. Furthermore, you will aid in the effective assembly and arrangement of materials essential for production in our cookie dough manufacturing facility. You will be pivotal in guaranteeing the accessibility of all required ingredients and supplies for the timely start-up of our production operations.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Unload all finished products and determine their storage placement based on accessibility for production operations within our freezer. You will also load transfer trucks as needed.
- Read and follow automated kitting worksheets for materials required for each production run.
- Gather and organize necessary ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies according to the provided production specifications.
- Flip materials onto plastic pallets, clean materials, and stage to distribute.
- Break down work into process steps while anticipating or adjusting to problems.
- Properly report, remove, or correct damages before the transfer of material.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials within the warehouse or transfer trucks.
- Assist in performing weekly preventative maintenance on our pallet flipper.
- Utilize email, Microsoft applications, and other internal software for daily communication between facilities, shifts, and departments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
- Participate in the daily Master Sanitation program.
- Participate in department, team, and company meetings.
- May perform a variety of tasks which directly contribute to Rhino Foods but may not directly relate to the primary duties and responsibilities of the job.
Requirements
What you’ll need to succeed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing and or warehousing preferred.
- Previous experience operating a forklift preferred.
- Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends identify growth opportunities, and develop plans to capitalize on them.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety requirements.
- Ability to pay strong attention to detail and commit to maintaining product quality.
- Ability to work as a respectful member within a collaborative team.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently and to specification.
- Ability to observe and measure product and process variation.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in group and individual settings.
- Ability to share knowledge and learn new skills.
Flexibility is essential in Rhino’s ability to respond to short-term demands and ensure smooth operations during busy times. You may be involved in voluntary overtime or temporary assignments that result in extended shifts, weekend shifts, work completed on a different shift, or at another Rhino location based on business needs.
