Painter

Job Summary:
Responsible for the preparation, priming, and finish coating of steel components and assemblies for material handling equipment using high-volume low-pressure (HVLP) and air-assisted electrostatic spray equipment. Assist assembly personnel with the final assembly of pneumatic components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.

• Operate paint equipment, including air and airless sprayers, proficiently.
• Understand specific paint requirements for application, storage, and disposal.
• Ensure all paint materials comply with customer specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and apply a neat, even finish.
• Handle, store, package, preserve, and load materials following company procedures and customer requirements.
• Operate a forklift as needed to move materials.
• Perform preventive maintenance on the paint booth and guns as required.
• Maintain an inventory of paint supplies and consumables.
• Ensure organization and cleanliness of the shop floor.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
