Summary:

A TAP Nurse ensures the health and safety of all on-site campers Team members and visitors; administers basic first aid and medications and responds to emergencies as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Participate in all TAP Team Trainings as required
2. Monitor health of campers and Team members participating in camp activities
3. Assist parents and Team members with medical and health questions
4. Educate Team members on health and safety policies and procedures including but not limited
to basic first aid Epi-Pen and serve as a resource for emergency response procedures
5. Manage camp Nurse�s office/area; ensure the office/area is clean organized and wellmaintained
6. Maintain supply inventory; inform Camp Director of any necessary purchases.
7. Work effectively with co-workers as a team and collaborate on various responsibilities
8. Serve as a positive role model to campers and Team members
9. Exhibit TAP Core Values at all times and adhere to all Company Policies
10. Other responsibilities as assigned

Other information:


Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

Experience Requirements:
1. Pediatric nursing experience (preferred)
2. Proven success in working with children and young adults with medical conditions including but
not limited to; food allergies diabetes seizure disorders (preferred)
3. Proven success in working with children and young adults with special needs and/or disabilities
(preferred)
Certification Requirements:
1. Valid license as a professional RN
2. First Aid Certification
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to push/pull lift and carry a minimum of 35lbs
2. Endurance to work outside in varying temperatures and conditions and on your feet for up to 7
hours per day
3. Ability to respond to emergency situations which may require running and climbing stairs
4. Good physical condition which enables candidate to execute all responsibilities associated with
this position
