Position Overview
Within Information Technology Services (ITS) the Data Center Infrastructure and Operations team is responsible maintaining and operating the on-premises data centers and the multi-cloud virtual data center and collaboration infrastructures. Rhode Island College is a regional comprehensive public college that serves approximately 6,400 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students through its five schools : the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the School of Business, the School of Nursing and the School of Social Work. Plan, design, implement, operate, monitor, and support technical solutions relating to all cloud services needs of the college.

Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience : Minimum of six year’s experience in the design, installation and maintenance of computer systems, server administration, cloud technology, SysOps / DevOps engineering of which two years’ experience shall be in the area of cloud services technical support.

This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, but requires lifting, moving, and / or installation of moderately heavy equipment (such as computers) and other related information technology components.
