Responsibilities :
Basic Job Responsibilities :
- Assists the project technician with the installation, setting, testing, and verifying the correct operation of protective relay and control systems.
- Assists in the verification of the correct installation and performance of analog input devices, including current and voltage transformers.
- Assists in the functional testing of new wiring within control circuits to ensure correct design and performance.
- Assists in the timely completion of all project-related documentation, including schematic and wiring drawings and setting records.
- Assists in periodic testing and inspection of electromechanical, solid state and microprocessor-based relay systems using a variety of complex test equipment.
- Assists in the timely completion of all maintenance related documentation including relay maintenance test reports and test cards.
- Assists in the performance of periodic functional trip and breaker failure testing of relay systems.
- Assists in providing technical and physical support to other departments while maintaining continuity of service with total customer satisfaction.
- Assists in the collection of all available data from all sources, including other departments, transient fault and sequence of events recorders and relays equipped with oscillographs and event recording capability.
- Assists in the resolution of operation investigations which includes the development and application of special tests and prepares operation investigation reports that are neat, orderly, and issued in a timely fashion.
- Inform the supervisor promptly of critical issues, including safety, system disturbances, customer reliability or economics that affect the department or company.
- The Associate Relay Technician promotes and supports all company goals and objectives, while conducting all activities with cost awareness and fiscal responsibility.

Starting Salary Range : $70,110.40 - $87,638.00
