Position Summary:
Rhode Island FC (RIFC) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our team for Summer 2025. This internship program offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the operations of a professional soccer club. Interns will assist in various departments, including Marketing & Communications, Community Relations, Event Operations, Ticketing, and Team Operations. Interns will play an integral role in supporting club initiatives leading up to and during the inaugural season of the Rhode Island FC and other RIFC-related events.
Responsibilities:
Intern responsibilities may vary depending on the assigned department but may include:
- Marketing & Communications:
- Assisting with social media content creation and scheduling.

- Supporting the planning and execution of promotional campaigns.

- Capturing and organizing media (photos/videos) from events.
- Community Relations:
- Helping to coordinate community engagement initiatives and supporting activations for youth and local organizations.
- Working as a member of the Street Team for stadium and community events.
- Event Operations:
- Supporting the preparation and execution of home matches and team events.
- Assisting with logistics, including setup and breakdown at events.
- Ticketing & Sales:
- Assisting with ticketing campaigns, customer service inquiries, and sales promotions.
- Supporting database management and CRM updates.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a college or university program related to sports management, marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field.
- Passion for sports, particularly soccer, and a commitment to Rhode Island FC's mission and values.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
Additional Details:
- The internship will run from May 20, 2025, to August 15, 2025.
- Hours are flexible but will include some evenings and weekends for events and matches.
- This is an unpaid internship. College credit can be provided if applicable.
- Interns will have the opportunity to gain practical experience, network with industry professionals, and contribute meaningfully to RIFC's mission of community engagement and excellence in professional soccer.
