- Advanced Practice Provider Manager for Cardiovascular Services
- at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. You will oversee and engagethe hospital’s Cardiac Surgery APP team, including both inpatient and outpatient teams.
- Responsibilities :
- Provide and supervise direct patient care by APP team for cardiac surgery patients, including pre, intra and post-surgery management
- Assist in the hiring of APPs, reviewing applications and participating in interviews and final selection
- Provide staffing, scheduling, clinical updates and recognition for the team, and conduct performance evaluations
- Develop and implement professional development activities, including onboarding, role-specific competencies, continuing education and job-related training, mentoring and preceptor programs
- Foster growth of the cardiac surgery service line through inter- and intradisciplinary collaboration
- Restructure inpatient and outpatient flow model to improve patient access to care and facilitate appropriate referrals to cardiac surgery procedures
- Attend leadership and quality meetings and lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives for the division of cardiology
- Qualifications :
- 5 years of cardiovascular care experience; supervisory experience required
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with ANCC or ANNP certification, or MS degree from a Physician Assistant program
- Active NP or PA license for the State of Rhode Island with prescriptive privileges
- Active DEA license
- BLS / ACL certification
- Ability to supervise 17-25 providers (NPs and PAs)
