The System Director RN Professional Practice provides strategic leadership in the development implementation and evaluation of nursing professional practice models ensuring alignment with evidence-based standards organizational goals and regulatory requirements. This role champions a culture of nursing excellence collaboration and innovation across the health system driving initiatives that elevate clinical care professional development and patient outcomes.
Design implement and sustain a standardized nursing professional practice model across the system that meet accreditation and regulatory requirements
Ensure alignment with the organization�s mission vision values and Magnet principles
Facilitate system wide consistency in the application of professional practice standards
Lead efforts to achieve and maintain nursing excellence designations
Develop and implement strategies to recognize and reward nursing contributions to clinical excellence and innovation
Partner with nursing and interprofessional leaders to promote shared governance and decision-making at all levels
Collaborate with System Director RN Education academic and clinical partners to enhance nursing education and clinical practice integration that enhance job satisfaction engagement and retention of nursing staff
Advocate for career development pathways including advanced practice roles and specialty certifications
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
Master�s degree in Nursing Health Administration or related field (Doctorate preferred)
Active RN licensure in the state of practice
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience including experience in professional practice or shared governance
Demonstrated success in system-level or multi-site professional practice initiatives
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervises up to 25 FTE across the Brown Health system.
