Tigard, OR | Medical Billing & Coding Internship with potential for full-time hire
Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in medical billing and coding in a fast-paced, patient-centered chiropractic clinic? Rhodes Chiropractic is seeking a motivated Medical Billing & Coding Intern to learn from our experienced billing specialist. This internship is designed to provide real-world training in insurance claims, coding, and revenue cycle management—with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and clinic needs.
What You'll Learn & Do:
- Assist in processing insurance claims, verifications, and authorizations
- Learn CPT, ICD-10, and modifier coding specific to chiropractic care
- Support billing audits, posting payments, and handling claim denials
- Work alongside our billing specialist to understand clinic-specific workflows
- Develop problem-solving skills for insurance follow-ups and patient billing inquiries
- Gain experience with billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
What We're Looking For:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Medical Billing & Coding program
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a structured environment
- Eagerness to learn and apply medical billing concepts in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite at our Tigard, OR office, with some remote work available as well.
