We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician for our Friendly Village community in Greeley, CO. As a key member of our team, you will perform general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes within the community, working 40 hours per week.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in good condition.
- Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by handling contacts with residents, visitors, and colleagues in a courteous, cooperative, and attentive manner.
- Identify deficiencies and take immediate action with approval from the Community Manager.
- Ensure community grounds are well-manicured, including regular weed treatment, leaf raking, flower/shrub planting, mulch/woodchip/stone spreading, shrub trimming, and tree limb removal as needed.
- Remove and dispose of garbage on community grounds, including common areas, main entrance, and resident sites, to maintain a clean appearance.
- Perform snow removal using a snow blower, hand shovel, or plow truck as required.
- Inform the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor of residents who fail to properly dispose of excess garbage or have large/bulk items that need special pickup arrangements.
- Maintain accurate inventories of maintenance and grounds equipment and supplies, advising the Community Manager of equipment and supply needs.
- Keep garage and storage areas organized and tidy.
- Maintain all maintenance and grounds equipment to ensure it remains clean and well-maintained.
- Comply with national, state, and local health and safety laws to minimize accidents and protect residents, the company, team members, and vendors.
- Perform seasonal pre-maintenance services on a timely basis.
- Be available for on-call duties as needed.
- Participate in refurbishing Community-Owned homes.
- Repair and maintain community water and sewer lines.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid operator's license with a good driving record at all times and insurability under the Company's policy.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
- May require personal tools.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access restricted spaces.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and other equipment.
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to efficiently perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to various chemical compounds.
Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00-$23.00. Compensation is based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
