JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are hiring a Controller who is responsible for establishing and maintaining internal controls and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the accounting department; managing the organization's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, compliance but not limited to general ledger accounting, treasury, accounts payable. This role provides leadership to the accounting team, collaborating with senior management to support business goals and improve financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepares and oversees the creation of accurate and timely financial statements (e.g., income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement; Maintains general ledger integrity
· Provides financial leadership in establishing strong relationships with senior management.
· Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
· Manages financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
· Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, bank, and auditors.
· Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal payroll, sales, and other tax requirements.
· Implement and optimize financial software and tools to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
· Maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish departmental goals.
· Ensures internal controls are in place to provide accurate reporting.
· Manages weekly and monthly cash requirements.
· Recruits, trains, and supervises department staff; Provides leadership and support to the AR, AP and the Accounting team
· Works closely with Revenue Cycle Management on revenue and bad debt reporting.
· Manages accounts payable and receivable processes.
· Oversees cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial health.
· Analyzes operational costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
· Works with department heads to allocate resources effectively.
· Provides financial insights and analysis to the leadership team.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
· Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience with at least three years as a Controller required.
· Knowledge of NetSuite ERP system preferred.
· Certified Public Accountant certification preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
· Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, NetSuite, and FRX.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Salary : $150,000 - $155,000
